DEATH CALLS THREE Mrs. H.N. Crooks and Baby Gogg Answer Summons Friday, Jacob N. Harmon Called Monday. MRS. H.N. CROOKS Ida Elizabeth Potter was born January 26, 1860 in Port Huron, Mich., and passed away at her home in Nashua April 5, 1824. In the year 1867 she moved with her parents onto a farm near Ionia, where she lived until her marriage to Henry Nelson Crooks July 25,1881. They lived in Bremer, Chickasaw and Floyd Counties for a number of years, then moved to south Dakota in 1905, returning to Iowa in 1913, locating in Nashua and vicinity where she spent the remainder of her life. Four children were born in this union, only one of which is living. Harry C., of Bruce Wis. One daughter Mrs. Iva Gullickson, preceded her mother to the better land Feb. 25, 1924. Howard on Sept. 12, 1898, and Gladys March 2, 1895. She is survived by a loving husband, one son, harry, a stepson, Marvin Crooks of Ionia, Iowa, and four brothers, Herbert of St. Cloud, Minn.; Edward of Coleville, Calif. and Elmer and Orlo of Nashua, Ia., two sisters, Minnie and Jennie, having preceded her in death. She also leave many cousins, grandchildren and one aunt, Mrs. Jane Long of Kansas City, Mo. She united with the M.E. church in Nashua some ago, of which she was an active member. She was also a member of the W. R. C. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her as a most loving friend and neighbor. And ever near us though unseen The dear immortal spirits tread; For all the boundless universe to Life– There is no dead. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock. Rev. H.D. Greene of Nora Springs, officiating and interment was made in the Rowley cemetery near Bassett.
