MURRAY. Is a station on the C.B. & Q. R.R. In Clarke county, 10 miles west
of Osceola (c h), and 166 west of Burlington. Shipments, oats, corn, hogs
and cattle. Nearest bank at Osceola. Churches, Methodist Episcopal,
Baptist, Christian and Congregational. School, public--4 grades.
Population, 500. Stage to Hopeville daily, 8 miles south; fare, 25 cents. 
To Winterset semi-weekly. Exp., Am Tel., W.U. Mail, daily. H.M. Martindale,
postmaster.
