The Osceola Sentinel April 25, 1918
Friends of Miss Etta Siefkas were shocked to hear of her death in Des Moines 
Sunday evening. She was in the Walston hospital training to be a nurse. A few 
weeks ago she had diptheria but had recovered and was well until a few days 
ago she took pneumonia. Her mother and father went to Des Moines Sunday 
morning and were with her at the time of her death. Interment was made at the 
Lacelle cemetery.
