Clarke County, Iowa Newspaper
Rose Zella Siefkas, daughter of W. M. and Sarah Huff, was born October 14, 
1874 in Clarke county near Hopeville and departed this life after several 
months of illness on March 6, 1950 at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 20 
days. She was united in marriage to William Siefkas, April 7, 1895 and to this 
union four children were born. They are Sophia Claypool of Creston, Iowa, Carl 
and Tom of Murray and Charles, who preceded her in death January 7, 1935. Last 
rites for Rose Zella Siefkas were held at the Christian church in Murray 
Tuesday, March 9 with Rev. O. E. Richardson officiating. Burial was in the 
Murray cemetery with Watts funeral services in charge.
