Annett, shoemaker, was born in England; spent most of his younger days in Mass.; then moved to Ill., and in 1869 settled on a homestead in Spencer township, Clay county, Ia. He opened a shoemaker's shop on his farm in 1870, and in company with G. C. Farr, started a general store. He returned to Mass, in 1871, and again came to Spencer in 1877, and was employed by S. S.
