J. B. Edmunds, banker and real estate dealer, was born in Mich, in 1845, removed
with parents in 1850 to O.; thence to Minn, in 1851. He came to Spencer in 1870,
and engaged in his present business. He was one of the original proprietors of
the town. When he came here there was only one log house where the town now
stands, and he has probably done more to build up the place than any other man.
Mr. Edmunds published The Owl, a real estate paper devoted to the land interests
of Clay county.
