Y. in 1869. He settled on a homestead and engaged in farming. In 1872, he was elected clerk, which office he held two terms. He was admitted to the bar in 1876, and has been engaged in the practice of the law ever since. He is also a member of the firm of Woodruff & Hubbard, furniture dealers. He has added to the city by putting into the market forty acres on the west side, which are now covered with some of the finest residences in the place.
