H. Wade, contractor and builder, came to Clay county in 1869, and located on a homestead in Summit township, where he lived three years; then went to O. He returned to Clay county in 1880, and purchased a farm of the railroad company where he has since lived; engaged in business in Spencer as above. He has built some of the finest buildings in the city. He was married in 1876, and has two children.
