LOESKE INTERNMENT WAS MADE AT THE CITY CEMETERY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON Mr. Henry W. Loeske passed away at his home Sunday morning, June 21st, at 4:30 a.m., at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 29 days, after a prolonged illness. The deceased was born in Hanover, Germany, on September 22, 1856, and came to America at the age of 22 years, settling in Clayton County the very same year. On April 9, 1885, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Borcherding, and they resided on a a farm north of Guttenberg. After a number of years of farming, they retired and have been residents of this city for about 17 years. He leaves to mourn; four sons, Henry, of Beaumont, Texas; Arthur, of Los Angeles, California; Laro, of Pueblo, Colorado; Floyd, of Amarrillo, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. John Schlake and Mrs. George Geuder, of this city; Louise, of Chicago; and Myrtle, of Dubuque, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Aulwes, of Hartford, S. Dakota; Mrs. Otto Koch, of Van Meter, S. Dakota; Mrs. Christ Becker, of this city; two brothers, William, of Freeburg, Minnesota; Fred of this city; six grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Larson. Interment was made at the city cemetery. Out of town attendants were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loeske, of Beaumont, Texas; Mr. Laro Loeske, of Pueblo, Colorado; Mrs. Floyd Loeske and family, of Amarillo, Texas; Louise Loeske, of Chicago; Mr. Fred Loeske, of Brownsville, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Koch of Van Meter, S. Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Flinche and family, of Fairmount, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Houston and family, of Wisconsin; Fred Bluecher and family, Mr. and Mrs. Yambraw and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lippe, all of Dubuque, Iowa.
