John Lubbers of Lyons, committed suicide by shooting himself through the head with a revolver, last Thursday, a week ago. The deceased was in his early life an officer in the German army, and afterwards served with distinction in the War of the Rebellion. He was 61 years old, and is supposed to have been temporarily insane when he committed the rash act.
