HILL Leonard E. Hill, 82, of Independence, Mo., died Friday at The Groves, Independence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services are at noon Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Kansas City. He was born in Clinton. He married his second wife, Shirley Machael Hill, on May 10, 1986. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed with Devoe Paint as a branch manager for 39 years. He was a member of the Ararat Shrine and The Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce (Morris) Fishman of Merriam, Kan.; three sons, Gary (Joy) Hill of Warrenton, Va., David (Linda) Hill of Phoenix and Jim Hill of Merriam; one stepdaughter, Pam (Bob) Livasy of Spencer; one brother, Edward J. (Sally) Hill of Clinton; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Organization, Box 15482, San Diego, CA 92175 or The Good Shepherd Hospice. He was preceded in death by his first wife, one sister, one great-granddaughter, one stepson and his parents.
