LE CLAIRE. The death of Mrs. J.A. Le Claire yesterday morning was a sad blow to the family and friends and makes desolate a home that has been one of the happiest in the city. While Mrs. Le Claire has been more or less of an invalid for several years, her hopefulness, her patience and constant cheerfulness have made her a loving helpmate to her husband and endeared her to a large circle of acquaintances. Her death occurred at 6 o'clock yesterday morning. She had been quite ill for the past six months and for the twelve weeks previous to her death had not been able to leave her bed. Mrs. Le Claire was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Shorey and was born in Lynn, Mass., February 9, 1851. The family removed to Davenport in 1855 and this city has since been her home. She married to Mr. Le Claire six years ago and their domestic life has been a happy one. Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents and two brothers. A.O. and Joe Shorey, all of this city. The funeral will be held from the residence in Clinton, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be made in Oakdale. Rev. A.M. Judy will officiate at the services.
