    DIED

    In this city, on Friday, June 17th, of consumption, Mrs. Maria T. Peverley,
wife of Samuel C. Peverley, aged 28 years, 5 months and 19 days.

    Dear one, thou art free from earth's sorrows and pain,
    We mourn for our loss, but we trust 'tis thy gain;
    May our souls be guided in wisdom's pure way,
    And meet thee at last in the heavenly day.
