Wade. Alice May was born in Elwood, March 4, 1868. She was an amiable and generous young lady, esteemed by all. She was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church, having joined that denomination, May 8th, 1887. The funeral services were held on last Tuesday, June 19th, and were conducted by Rev. R. I. Adams, of Davenport, under the auspices of the Presbyterian doctrine and assisted by Rev. P. W. Gould, Methodist minister of Elwood. The Methodist church, where the burial services were held was artistically draped in deep mourning with an abundance of fragrant bouquets handsomely arranged throughout the church.
