Wulf, 76, were held at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 at the Presbyterian church, Rev. B. J. Swede, officiating. Interment was in the Lost Nation Cemetery. John J. Wulf, second oldest son of Andrew and Margaret Wulf, was born in Holstein, Germany, June 13, 1864. He was confirmed in faith the Evangelical Church of Germany. At the age of 21 he came to the United States to join his parents and worked as a farm helper. On November 10, 1896, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Ingwersen of Wheatland. They purchesed a farm northeast of Lost Nation where they lived until 1915. The couple retired and came to live in a home on Western Avenue in Lost Nation. John enjoyed the out- of-doors and as a hobby his interests were horses, fishing and reading. In 1928 his beloved companion passed away and he went to live in Wheatland with his sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mrs. Anna Hamdorf of Wheatland and two brothers, Henry of Germany and William of Lost Nation. Those surviving him are one sister Kate Mayerdorf of Wheatland, and one brother, Rudolf of Wheatland.
