OBITUARY 

Meriba Wade was born in Sharon township, Clinton Count, Iowa, July 25, 1875. 
Her childhood was spent at home on the farm from where she attended school, 
later pursuing her studies in the public school in Lost Nation. 

February 22, 1898, she was married to Charles W. Yost, and to this union was 
born a daughter, Mable Gertrude. April 7, 1900, occurred the death of Mr. 
Yost, after which Mrs. Yost returned to the home of her parents. January 10, 
1905, she was married to Mr. Emmett Yost and came to Lost Nation to make her 
home, remaining to the date of her death. 

Mrs. yost was stricken by a severe cold which ultimately resulted in abdominal 
hemorrhage. Mrs. Yost passed to the realms of eternal repose, Saturday, 
January 3, 1914, aged 39 years, 6 months, and 8 days.
