Maquoketa Excelsior, Maquoketa, Iowa, June 14, 1901

Rev. Frank W. Henry went to Lost Nation Wednesday to officiate at the marriage 
of Dr. Ira J. Scott to Miss Ella Whitmer, which ceremony took place at the 
home of the bride’s parents at half past eight o’clock Wednesday evening.. The 
bride and groom were attended by William Rutenbeck and Miss Stacia O’Neal. The 
Maquoketa Mandolin Club was present and furnished music for the occasion. 
There were many and costly presents and a number of out of town guests, Dr. 
Scott and his wife, of Maquoketa being among the number.
