JESSE FRANCIS CHESTER               (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Jesse Francis Chedester was born May 5, 1894 near Anthon, Iowa.  He 
was the only son of O. C. (Con) Chedester and Susan Riley Chedester
	On March 15, 1916, he married Hattie Davis of Charter Oak at Denison, 
Iowa.  To this union 8 children were born.  Hattie passed away in September of 
1961.
	
	Survivors include his five daughters, seventeen grandchildren, 
thirteen great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Casper (Mae) Pohlman of 
Castana, Iowa and nieces and nephews.
	Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, one sister, Minnie 
Wilson, one son, Rolland, two daughters, Lola and Marjorie, and two 
grandchildren.
	Jesse passed away at the Onawa hospital on May 9, 1975
