	Louis A. Evers, 78, of Soldier, Iowa, died Friday, February 2, 1996, 
at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, IA.
	Louis was born in Billings, MT, on September 8, 1917, the son of 
August and Justina (Petersen) Evers.  On January 31, 1940, he married Marie 
Keating at Denison.  	
	Survivors include his wife, Marie; three daughters, Connie Gorham of 
Soldier, Shari and her husband, James Pithan of Ute, Mary and her husband, 
Nyman Niessink of Sioux City; ten grandchildren; a half brother, Dr. Alfred 
Evers of Vacaville, CA, and a daughter-in-law, Pat Wessel of Mapleton.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clint; a grandson, 
Matt Evers; two sons-in-law, Blair Erickson and David Gorham.
