    Rose Elsie Gibbs, 82, of Ute, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 10, 1985, at a 
Sioux City hospital.
    Mrs. Gibbs, the former Rose Schmidt was born December 8, 1902 to Gustav 
and Augusta (Neurenberg) Schmidt in Willow Township, Crawford County, Iowa. 
    Rose was united in marriage to Herbert H. Gibbs on the 15 of March, 1930 
at the Methodist Parsonage in Charter Oak, Iowa. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
    Survivors include one daughter of Rapid City, South Dakota; two 
grandchildren, both of Denver, Colorado; one great-granddaughter of Denver, 
Colorado; one brother,  of Charter Oak.
