    Rose Elsie Gibbs, 82, of Ute, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 10, 1985, at a 
Sioux City hospital.
    Rose Schmidt was born December 8, 1902 to Gustav and Augusta (Neurenberg) 
Schmidt in Willow Township, Crawford County, Iowa. 
    Rose was united in marriage to Herbert H. Gibbs on the 15 of March, 1930 
at the Methodist Parsonage in Charter Oak, Iowa. He passed away in  August of 
1968.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Ardis) Wilcox of Rapid City, 
South Dakota; two grandchildren, Cheryl Wilcox and Timothy Wilcox, both of 
Denver, Colorado; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Melissa Wilcox of Denver, 
Colorado; one brother, Arnold Schmidt of Charter Oak.
