MRS. ANN MOUNT PASSED AWAY
Mrs. Ann Mount, mother of John Mount of this city, died at the home of her son 
in North Denison last Wednesday night at 11 o'clock after a last illness from 
which she suffered many years. 
Mrs. Mount, nee Ann Hawley, was born in Sheffield, England, Oct. 12, 1838, and 
was thus almost 81 years old at the time of death. She married Richard Mount 
March 24, 1855, and he died nine years ago. One son, only, is left by them, 
this being John Mount of this city. In 1858 Mrs. Mount came to American with 
her husband, living two years in Ohio, then moving to South Amana, Iowa, then 
retiring from farm life on account of poor health and coming to Denison in 18?
8, where she lived until her death.
Mrs. Mount was raised as Episcopalian and was a consistent Christian woman al 
her life. Her devoted son and other relatives have the sympathy of all in the 
passing away of this good mother.
