Arlene Woodward passed away in her home in Kiron on Tuesday, November 26, 2002.

Arlene May (Kafton) Woodward was born on October 9, 1939 to Herluf and Wilma 
(Tadlock) Kafton in rural Monona County.   She married Lyle Woodward Sr. on 
August 8, 1959.


Survivors include her husband, Lyle of Kiron; their five children and 
families, Lyle Jr. and Judy, Shawn, Chris, and Travis of Kiron; Dennis and 
Jill, Johnathan, Ellen and Charles of Delano, Minnesota; Bryan and Becky, 
Danielle and Heather of Palo, Iowa; Tina and Ben Schulte, Jacqueline, 
Michelle, and Stephen of Ravenwood, Missouri; and Rolland and Suzanne of Lino 
Lakes, Minnesota; her mother, Wilma Kafton; two brothers and their wives, 
Wayne and Zola Kafton and Arvin and Carole Kafton, all of Mapleton; and a 
sister, Judy Moore and her husband, Jim of Fort Collins, Colorado; her mother-
in-law, Blanche Woodward of Onawa, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mel and 
Myrna Woodward of Onawa, Mary Woodward of Mapleton, Joe and June Woodward of 
Sioux City, E.B. and Darlene Woodward of Cherokee, Jerry and Jean Woodward of 
Wichita, Kansas, and Don and Sue Woodward of Ticonic.  Also many nieces, 
nephews, and other relatives and friends.
