A station on the D. M. & Ft. D.R.R. in Dallas county, 6 miles northeast of Adel (c h), 21 northwest of Des Moines and 66 southeast of Ft. Dodge. It contains 3 churches-Catholic, Methodist and Presbyterian, and a graded public school with 4 departments, a bank, a weekly newspaper and 2 flour mills. Shipments, corn, wheat, stock and dairy produce. Population 500. Stages carrying mail and passengers run to Fairland, 7 miles northeast, twice a week for 50c, and to Panther Creek and Green Vale, 16 miles west, weekly, fare $1. Exp. U. S. Tel., W.U. Mail, daily.
