    Dubuque Herald, September 21, 1869

    DIED-

    McGRATH-
    In St. Louis, Wednesday, Sept. 15th, of consumption, Sister Magdalin
McGrath, of St. Martha, aged 27 years.

    Sister Magdalin was the daughter of John McGrath of Dubuque, residing on
Julien Avenue; also the sister of Jeff McGrath, pressman of the Herald office.
About four years ago she took the vail and chose the life of a sister. Her last
hours were of that blissful repose that marks the death of a Christian. She fell
in the arms of the Redeemer, peacefully and contented.
