C. Henry, one of the most prominent citizens of Bellevue had committed suicide by cutting his throat. The terrible deed of self destruction was no doubt due to temporary insanity. Mr. Henry had suffered for some time from nervous prostration. Friday night he attended a political meeting at which Congressman Hayes made a speech and became very much interested, so much that his nerves were completely unstrung by the exceitement. Saturday morning he did not go to his place of business, but at noon ate his dinner and started away to relieve his partner in the firm of Henry & Ahlers, druggists. He had gone but a little ways when he returned to the house and retired to his room. A few moments later Mrs. Henry found him lying dead on the floor, blood streaming from a gash in the throat. Mr. Henry was 43 years of age, had been in business in Bellevue for twenty years. His wife who survives him with two sons, aged 14 and 11 years respectively, is a daughter of Dr. Miller, the well known Bellevue physician and a sister of Mrs. Edward Slattery.
