THE OLDEST MAN IN DUBUQUE COUNTY IS DEAD

Jeremiah Cullen, aged 107 years, died at the home of his daughter,  Mrs. 
Michael Gilligan, near Bankston, Iowa Township, Dubuque County. Mr. Cullen was 
a native of County Wexford, Ireland. He was a gardener and followed that 
occupation for many years in the City of Dublin and vicinity. He came to 
Dubuque in 1867 after a two years residence in Ohio with his wife and 
daughter, Mrs. Gilligan, who was their only child. Some ten years ago his wife 
died at the advanced age of 87 years. (Dubuque Herald)
