He became a monk in Ireland when 24 years old and came to America 33 years ago, and became associated with the Order of New Melleray Abbot Alberie was a man of natural abilities who ruled wisely and prudently for a number of years. His death is a distinct loss to his Order and elicits regret wherever he was known. His long career as ruler of his order was full of honor and faithful steward has been called to his accounting.
