Her marriage occured 5 Oct 1876. She died 12 Feb 1917, at the college and seminary, where her husband was a member of the facilty. A long illness preceded her death, and for the past two years she has been an invalid. Two sons preceded their Mother in death, Silas Otis, at the age of nine months, in Sep 1878, and John Albert, who drowned here 1 Aug 1901. The funeral will be held at the college chapel, and interment will be made at Greenwood cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y Additional Comments: Mary Wood Crater married Rev. William Otis Ruston (son of John and Mary C. Herring Ruston)5 Oct 1876. He was born 6 Dec 1852; d. 27 May 1922; for 17 years he was the dean at University of Dubuque, Iowa; two children, Otis Ruston d. 1877 and John Abbot Ruston, b. 6 Apr 1879; d. 1 Aug 1901.
