Sept. 2, 1877 - Dedication of Fairview Church Oct. 21, 1877 - Sabbath School Convention at the Church - I attended - full house. March 3, 1878 - Up to Church to prayer meeting. March 31, 1878 - Up to church and S.S. -- Burgess preached on baptism. May 26 - Went to Fairview Church in the evening to hear Uncle Milt Taylor preach. Aug. 18, 1878 - Went to hear Perry preach. Sept. 1, 1878 - 300 teams came on camp grounds, estimated 2,000 people. Sept. 29, 1878 - The M. E. organized class this eve. Oct 27, 1878 - Went to young peoples prayer meeting. March 9, 1879 - Evening Church Bronson preached June 15, 1879 - SS Convention at Fairview. June 29, 1879 - Perry of West Union preached also on 8-10-79, 9-11-81 and 10 - 5 - 79. July 27, 1879 Metcalf preached at Fairview June 6, 1880 - Cammeron preached at Fairview Oct. 3, 1880 - A young man named Thompson preached at Fairview 11 14 1880 - Center Grove dedicated by an Adams. full house. Jan 2 - 1881 - Cameron holding protracted meetings. Oct. 9, 1881 - Dawson preached. The Fairview Church was located north a short distance from the Center - Harlan township lines. It was was two miles east of the Banks- Center township line. The Fairview Church was 2 - 1/4 miles west of the Center Grove building. The church building was moved to Randalia in 1922. Members of the Church were: Hotchkiss, Dewey, McNaul, Belden, Briggs, Wm. Stewart, John Schmidt, Reese, Leham Van Sickle, Arthur, Alonzo (Lant) Holmes, Matt and Wm. Wells, Wm Taylor, Dr Lewis, Milton Taylors - Minister, Wm Watenpaugh, Wm. Ashbaugh, Isaac Ashbaugh, Caffin, Rev. Galbreth Minister in 1914. Services had been held at Bratt's schoolhouse, Dunhams and Maynard school house, Stone school house.
