OBITUARY OF F.T. FISHER

The funeral services of F.T. Fisher were held at the M.E. Church in this place
on Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in the Hamburg Cemetery.
 
Frisby Tillman Fisher was born in Keedysville, Maryland, June 15, 1845 and
passed away in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 21, 1922, aged 77 years, 6
months and 6 days.   

He served in the Army of the Potomac with the 6th Regiment Co H Maryland
Infantry Volunteers from April 1862 until the close of the war, when he was
honorably discharged. He was in several severe battles and fought at Bull Run,
Lookout Mountain, Cold Harbor and Antietam, He was severely wounded at Cold
Harbor and was left on the battlefield for dead. Regaining consciousness next
day, he made his way back to the Union lines. 

Frisby Fisher came to Hamburg in 1870 and remained here until 1900, since which
time he had lived in North Dakota, Arizona, Spokane, and Rochester, Minnesota. 
Mr. Fisher was city clerk and superintendent of the city water works in Hamburg
for a number of years. Many of his old friends will also remember him in his
courteous treatment as he waited on them when they hauled their grain to market
at the elevator. 

Frisby married Flora C Swiggart on February 21, 1874. To this union three
children were born; Clarence W Fisher of Souris, Manitoba; Mrs. Nellie Andreas
of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Earl M Fisher of Hamburg.  Besides his wife and
three children, he leaves to mourn two brothers, one grandchild, and a host of
friends.
