Allen is Dead I O O F in Charge of Funeral Services Monday L.P. Allen, 79, died at his farm home at 8:15 this morning after an illness of a week. He would have been 80 years old August 4. His death was caused from heart and lung trouble. Although he was seriously ill just a week, he had been failing for some time. He is survived by his wife and a brother, M.L. Allen of Farragut; a daughter, Mrs. Seth Cox of Farragut; a son Guy of Farragut. One daughter, Bertha, preceded him in death in 1908. He is also survived by the following grandchildren; Mrs. William MacDonald of Shenandoah, Rene Cox of Farragut, Johnnie, Fay and Harold Allen, Mrs. Omer Williston of Clarinda, Mrs. L.D. Paine of Omaha, Neb. Frank Allen of Farragut is a nephew. He came this vicinity in 1870 where he has lived on a farm ever since. Funeral services will be held at the house at 2:30 Monday afternoon under the auspices of the Odd Fellows.
