D. MAINS Miss Donna Bates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl BATES of Guthrie Center became the bride of Pvt. Richard D. Mains, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Mains of Corning, Ia., on Tuesday evening, March 30th at the Methodist church in Atlantic, Iowa. Rev. Steffensen, pastor of the Methodist church, read the double ring ceremony at 8 o'clock in the presence of immediate relatives. The bride is a graduate of the Guthrie Center High school and has since been employed as a secretary in Guthrie Center. The bridegroom graduated from the Villisca High school, and has just completed his basic army training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.
