Buck Guthrie County, Iowa LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF CHARLES A. BUCK I, Charles A. Buck of Rushsylvania, Logan County, Ohio desiring to make such disposition of my estate as seems best to me, do make publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills or codicile by me made. Item 1: I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. Item 2: I give and bequeath to my beloved mother Mrs. Margaret M. Buck the sum of one thousand ($1000.00) dollars in cash. Item 3: I give and bequeath to my brother Edward M. Buck, to my sister Mrs. Laura Taylor and to my sister Mrs. Lyda Maxon each the sum of one hundred ($100.00); (that is to say $100.00 to my brother Edward, $100.00 to my sister Laura, and $100.00 to my sister Lyda. Item 4: I give, devise and bequeath to my son Francis H. Buck all the balance and residue of my estate of whatsoever kind or nature, whether it be personality of realty, and wheresoever located, absolutely and if fee simple, but in the event of the death of my said son Francis H. Buck before he arrives at the age of twenty one years then the property which I have devised, bequeath and given to me as above set out in this fourth item, then I devise, bequeath and give the same property to my surviving mother, sisters and brother or the heirs of their body share and share alike; and I do hereby appoint and nominate my mother Guardian for my son Francis H. Buck and to serve in such capacity without bond. Item 5: I also hereby nominate and appoint my mother Mrs. Margaret M. Buck the executrix of this my last will and testament; and direct that no bond be required of h er as such executrix; and I hereby authorize her as such executrix to sell and convey all or any part of my real or personal property of which I may die seized, on such terms and for such price as to her may seem best, without the intervention of any court whatever, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this will. Done at Rushsylvania, Logan County, Ohio this 20th day of October A. D. 1911. Chas A. Buck The foregoing instrument was signed, sealed, declared and acknowledged by Charles A. Buck, as and for his last will and testament, in our presence and was subscribed by us as witnesses, at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other at Rushsylvania, Logan County, Ohio on this 30th day of October A. Bower NOTICE IN PROBATE To whom it may concern; You and each of you are hereby notified to appear at the court house at Guthrie Center in Guthrie County, Iowa on this 10th day of October A. D. 1916 at 1:30 o'clock P.M. to attend the probate of an instrucment purporting to be the last will and testament of Charles A. Buck late of Guthrie County, Iowa, deceased at which time and place you will appear and show cause if any, why said will should not be admitted to probate. Buck publisher, being first duly sworn, depose and say, that we are the manager and publisher of the Guthrie Co. Vedette, a weekly newspaper printed in Panora, in county and state aforesaid and that the notice of which the annexed in a printed copy was published in said newspaper for 3 consecutive weeks, the first publication being on 14 day of Sept 1916; second 21 day of Sept. 1916; third 28 day of Sept. 1916 L. G. Snow, Manager Mrs. Margaret M. Buck, Publisher (SEAL) CERTIFICATE OF PROOF OF WILL I, H. W. Stoy, Clerk of District Court of Guthie County, Iowa, hereby certify that an instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of Charles A. Buck of Guthrie County, Iowa, was presented, read and filed on the 12th day of September 1916, that a notice was published for its probate in the Guthrie County Vedette on the 14-21-28 of September 1916, a weekly newspaper in Guthrie County, Iowa, three consecutive weeks, the last publication being at least ten days before the time appointed for its probate; that on said time appointed, the execution of said will was duly approved by the subscribing witnesses; and also that the said testator at the time of its execution was of full age, sound disposing mind and memory, and free to act. It was then and there adjudged and ordered by the court that the aforesaid instrument was duly executed and probated as the last will and testament of Charles A. Buck and letters testamentary issue to the executrix named therein. In accordance with which Margaret M. Buck executrix named in said will, was duly appointed to carry its provisions into effect.
