Dr. Frank Leonard Kiesescker, DMD, well-known Lake County dentist, died Oct. 6,
2002 at Redbud Community Hospital, following a brief illness. He is survived by
his wife Theresa "Pat" Estelle (Caldwell), her two sons, Terry and Dennis and
their five children, his daughter Alice Jaye Pudewell, her three children and
their ten children, his daughter Mary Alice Travers, her three children and
their five children, his son Stanley Warren Hudson and his two daughters, and
his niece Elnora Lunday and her two sons. Dr. Kiesecker was born May 19, 1910,
in Webster City, Iowa. At the age of 16, he chauffeured a couple to Redlands,
Calif. Dr. Kiesecker graduated from Colton High School in 1930. He married
Frances Juanita Burden Thornton on Aug. 8, 1937, and reared Frances' daughter
Alyce Jaye. After the death of their parents, Stanley Warren Hudson and Mary
Alice Travers, Frances' nephew and niece, joined Dr. Kiesecker's household.
After graduating from North Pacific School of Dentistry in Portland, Ore., Dr.
Kiesecker then returned to Colton opening a practice as the only dentist in
town. He was known for the high quality of his crowns, dentures and bridgework.
Moving to Lake County, he practiced dentistry in Clearlake from 1958 to 1975.
After Frances died in 1977, Dr. Kiesecker married Theresa "Pat" Estelle
Caldwell, the widow of Merlin S. Caldwell of Victorville. In lieu of flowers or
plants, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity in
the name of Dr. Frank L. Kieseker and that only cards be sent to the family.
