OBITUARY OF
ASA McDOLE			(From the collection of Vivian Norby Andersen)

	 	Asa  McDole was born Dec. 9, 1886 near Ute, Iowa to Hiram and 
Agnes Nurse McDole.  He married Bessie May Gorham Jan. 1, 1909.
	Mr. McDole passed away Sunday at midnight Jan. 7, 1968 at the Burgess 
Memorial Hospital in Onawa.  Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, 
Warren, and two sisters, Laura and Florence, Mrs. Ralph Cue.
	Survivors are:  his wife, Bessie; one son, Wilton of Dunlap; four 
daughters, Marilla (Mrs. Harlow Wingate) of Soldier, Ruth (Mrs. Ernest Renz) 
of Woodbine, Laura (Mrs. John Lawson) of Urbandale, and Margaret (Mrs. Marion 
Reimer) of Atlantic; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Ellis of Dunlap; thirteen 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many 
friends.
