J.L. Berkley, of the firm of Grigsby & Berkley, dealers in general merchandise,
is a native of Va.; moved to Magnolia, Harrison county, Ia., in 1872; thence to
Missouri Valley in 1876, and engaged in milling until Oct., 1881, when he
engaged in his present business, with W. E. Grigsby, a wealthy farmer of
Harrison county.
