A. W. Clyde, of the firm of Smith & Clyde, attorneys at law, was born in Otsego
county, N. Y.; moved to Mitchell county, Ia., in 1855, and was proprietor of the
Mitchell County News, for five years. He then moved to Logan, and engaged in the
practice of the law. He was married at Madison, Wis., in 1877, to Bessie
Johnson, and has one child, a son.
