Hon. G. H. McGavren, M. D., is a native of Pa.; came to Harrison county in 1854
and first located at St. Johns; removed to Missouri Valley in 1808. He was
elected to the legislature in 1870, and is engaged in the practice of medicine
with his son, Charles, who is a graduate of the Rush Medical College, at
Chicago, Ill.
