W. H. Ramseyer, superintendent of the car shops at Missouri Valley, was born in
N. Y.; moved to Neb. in 1867 and engaged in the furniture business, and in 1869
came to this city and was employed by the S. C. & P. R. R. company as pattern
maker. He was appointed superintendent in 1871.
