In 1868 he removed to Jones county, Ia.; thence to Mondamin, Harrison county, in 1870, and engaged in wagon making, which he followed until 1879, and then engaged in his present business. His wife is the pioneer milliner of Mondamin, having established business in 1870. Their daughter Mary, was the first child born in the place.
