L. Shaubel, foreman of the S. C. & P. R. R. company's paint shop, at Missouri
Valley, was born in Pa.; moved to Chicago, Ill., in 1854 with parents, and was
employed in the C. & N. W. R. R. paint shops, until, coming to this city in 1877
and accepting his present position.
