Almor Stern, county auditor, was born in Chester county, Pa., in 1854; came to
Harrison with his parents in 1857; was employed in farming, until he engaged as
clerk in auditor's office; was elected to his present office in 1878. He married
Laura Mann, of Harrison county in 1880. They have one child, a son.
