M. M. Vining, proprietor of Temperance billiard hall, was born in 1860, in
Harrison county, Ia. He is a son of Richard Vining, one of the oldest settlers
of the county. He established business in Dec., 1881; keeps for sale
confectionery and cigars, but no intoxicants of any kind.
