Bernard C. Jones                           (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Bernard C. Jones, 102, of Onawa, died March 16, 1986, at Burgess 
Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	He was born September 18, 1883, in rural Missouri Valley, to William 
Martin and Jane (Deal) Jones.  On April 29, 1903, he was married to Maude 
Howard at Missouri Valley.   Mrs. Jones died October 10, 1960, in Loveland, 
Iowa.
	
	Survivors include a son, Dwight of Denison, two daughters, Hazel Fox 
of Council Bluffs, and Blanche Johnston of Onawa, nine grandchildren, twenty-
two great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two daughters, 
Alyce Kinz, and Verle Bird; a granddaughter, Helen Behr, a grandson, Roger 
Setchell and a brother, Elzie.
