	Frank A. Laidler, 87, of Soldier, Iowa, died Thursday, February 15, 
1990, in  Dunlap, Iowa.
	He was born September 14, 1902, at Pisgah, Iowa, the son of John and 
Lavina (Johnston) Laidler.  On February 6, 1923, he married Minnie Hedum in 
Onawa.  She died October 15, 1975, in Onawa.  
	Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Heffernan of 
Council Bluffs, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two sisters, 
Doris Kline of Turin and Opal Hinkel of Moorhead, one brother, Percy Laidler 
of Payson, Ariz. and several nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, George 
and Harold, and three sisters, Kate, Lois and Edith.
