Illa E. Podendorf                            (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Illa Podendorf, a well-known contributor to the field of Elementary 
Science, died Wednesday, June 22. She was born near Logan, Iowa and at an 
early age moved with her family to Little Sioux, Iowa.  
	Miss Podendorf passed away June 22, 1983.She is survived by one 
sister, Mrs. Harlan Holmes of this community, a brother, Mr. Quentin Podendorf 
of Manly, Iowa and a niece of Mobile, Alabama.
