	Elmer Harold Savery was born September 2, 1910 on a farm near 
Woodbine, Iowa, the son of James Edward and Anna (Bolte) Savery.   On April 
29, 1933, Elmer was united in marriage to Leona Barbara McCall in Elk Point, 
SD.  
	Those survivors left to cherish Elmer’s memory include his wife, 
Leona; two sons, Shurrell and his wife, Maxine Savery of Denison, Iowa and 
Norman Savery of Sioux City, Iowa; one brother and his wife, Edward and Leona 
Savery of Marshalltown, Iowa; one sister, Gladys Blumenstein of Logan, Iowa; 
three grandchildren; five great grandchildren,  and a host of other relatives 
and friends.
	Elmer was preceded in death by an infant son, Lowell Eugene, his 
parents, four sisters, Louise Schmidt, an infant sister, Etta, Edna Morris and 
Emma Dunlap; and three brothers, LeRoy, Floyd and Lyle Savery.
	Elmer died on November 20, 1996 at Mapleton, Iowa.
