Wood, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wood, was born in Clinton county, Iowa, Feb. 11, 1861. When a small child she came to Dunlap with her parents, and here grew to womanhood. She was married Sept. 14, 1890, to Martin S. Wingate, at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage in Dunlap. To this union two children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Wingate made their home here, and with the exception of seven years’ residence at Soldier, have lived here since. When a young girl she united with the Methodist Episcopal church. In July, 1932, she became seriously sick and was moved from Soldier to her home here. She bore with patience the months of suffering. She is survived by her sorrowing husband, and two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Knight and Mrs. C. L. McCullough, both of Dunlap; a sister, Mrs. Mae collins(sic) of Council Bluffs; and two grandchildren, Charles McCullough and Helen Knight.----Dunlap Reporter.
