F. L. Rozelle, pastor at Loveland, Col., died very suddenly of neuralgia of the heart Friday, December 25, 1903. He was born November 21, 1860 at Mount Pleasant, Ia.; ordained as a Baptist minister May 23, 1894, at Oskaloosa, Ia. For a number of years he engaged in evangelistic work in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and other states. He was appointed district missionary for Nebraska in May, 1896, but was soon after called as pastor at Carroll, Ia., where he settled in May 1897. He was appointed district missionary for Colorado October 1, 1898, but was soon obliged to give up the position on account of the health of his family, and removed to Chadron, Neb., the following March, where he became pastor. January 1, 1899, he was appointed missionary evangelist for the Trans-Mississippi division and rendered very valuable services in Wyoming, Montana, Utah and Colorado. April 1, 1901, he became pastor at Loveland, Col. In every pastorate he has held he has done most excellent work, and thousands of persons have been led to Christ through his influence. He was a splendid personal worker, and had a peculiar faculty for reaching men. The splendid new house of worship at Loveland is a monument to his energy and consecration. The funeral was the most largely attended of any similar occasion the writer has ever witnessed; and the expressions of love for our brother and sympathy for the bereaved family were heard on every side. His influence extended far beyond his own church and city. The men of Fort Collins chartered a train to come to the funeral, which was held at 3 o'clock Sunday after- noon, December 22. Probably one thousand people were in the church, and crowds which could not get in extended clear across the street. He leaves a wife and four children, two of whom--the oldest daughters--are married. Mrs. Rozelle and the two younger children will make their home in Loveland. Mr. Rozelle was one of the most efficient men in some directions that I have ever known. Additional Comments: 1821 about- father Napolean W.
